The RiverHawks announced Tuesday that they have signed pitcher Adam Rowe. It’s the fourth straight year in the Northern League for the left-hander, who spent the last three seasons with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
RiverHawks player-coach Rich Austin was Rowe’s teammate with Fargo in 2007.
“I had good reports on him from Richie Austin,” RiverHawks co-owner and director of baseball operations Dave Ciarrachi said. “He said he was a flexible guy out of the bullpen who can be situational or give you a couple of innings.”
Last season with the RedHawks, Rowe was 1-0 with a 5.54 earned-run average and a save in 20 games, all as a reliever. He did not pitch after June 21. In Rowe’s last full season, 2008, he was 2-4 with a 4.22 ERA, 10th-best in the league, and two saves in 32 appearances.
Rowe has a career record of 19-21 with a 4.12 ERA and 15 saves over six professional seasons. Rowe, who turns 28 on Jan. 24, has LS-3 status in the Northern League.
