Cornbelters Baseball Acquire Eric Brown and Asif Shah

In exchange for future considerations, the CornBelters acquired SS Eric Brown from the Amarillo Dillas of the Independent United League and OF Asif Shah from the Chico Outlaws of the Independent Golden Baseball League. The CornBelters will play the first home game of their inaugural season at the Corn Crib on Tuesday, June 1 at 7 p.m. versus the Windy City Thunderbolts.
Brown attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX. He is working towards earning a B.S. in Occupational Education. After spending time in the Independent Continental League, he was traded to Amarillo Dillas of the United Baseball League where he hit .455 with 15 RBI and two home runs in 55 AB.
Shah attended Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, MO. He signed with Chico this past off season and hit .345 with seven RBI and two home runs in 58 AB.
