High School Pre-Season Baseball All-Americans from Illinois

Jake DePw, Mark Payton, Shane Conlon, Kevin Kozial head up the players from Illinois on the Pre-Season Louisville Slugger All-American Team.

First Team Pre-Season All-Americans from Illinois

C - Jake DePew - Granite City High School - Last season he hit .558 with 21 doubles, 7 home runs and 53 RBI.  Jake has signed with Louisville.

OF - Mark Payton - St. Rita High School - Last sping Mark hit .438 with 10 doubles, 4 triples, 12 home runs and 40 RBI.  Mark has signed with Arizona State.

LHP/1B - Shane Conlon - Naperville Central High School - Last season Shane hit .396 with 16 doubles, 3 triples, and 4 home runs.  On the mound Shane was 9-1 with 67 strikeouts in 52 innings.  Shane has signed with Kansas State.

SS/P - Kevin Koziol - Brother Rice High School - Last season Kevin was 5-2 with a 2.64 ERA, 47 strikeouts in 45 innings.  At the plate Koziol hit .356 with 8 doubles and 8 home runs.

RHP - Miles Quintal - O'Fallon Township High School - Last season Miles went 11-2 with a 2.61 ERA.

3B - Michael Failoni - Edwardsville High School - Michael hit .487 with 12 doubles, 6 home runs and 61 RBI.

OF/RHP - Dontrell Rush - Harlan Community Academy - Dontrell hit .386 with 5 home runs and on the mound Dontrell went 7-3 with 105 strikeouts in 74 innings pitched.
