Bryant George from Southern Illinois University has been picked as the top closer in the Missouri Valley by CollegebaseballInsider.com. Five out of the eight coaches in the Missouri Valley Conference participated in the pre-season voting.
In addition to Bryant the following players have also been chosen by the Missouri Valley Coaches:
Matt Mirabal from Illinois State University was chosen as the best defensive catcher and the best catcher arm in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Elliot Soto from Creighton University was chosen as the best defensive infielder.
Tyler Bullock from Southern Illinois University was picked as one of the three biggest power threats .
Matt Fritz from Bradley University was chosen as one of the best base-runners in the Missouri Valley Conference.
