The IHSA has decided to move the 2011 1A and 2A state championship series to O'Brien field, home of the Chicago Cubs minor league affiliate the Peoria Chiefs. The idea behind the move was to make the state finals events more centrally located based on the location of the participants.Class 3A and 4A will remain at Joliet's Silver Cross field for the next five years.
