Illinois Baseball Players Selected in First Seven Rounds of 2011 MLB Draft

Outfielder Charlie Tilson from New Trier High School is the first Illinois baseball player selected in the 2011 MLB Draft.  Charlie went in the 2nd round and the 79th overall pick to the St. Louis Cardinals.
