The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced the NCAA Division II Midwest All-Region Team and below are the selections from Illinois Schools.

An eight run third inning sealed the deal for Chicago Heights Marian Catholic as they cruised to a 10-2 win over LaSalle Peru to capture the IHSA 3A State Baseball Championship.
Ben Santori went the distance on the mound for Marian giving up two runs on 11 hits and striking out 5 over the seven innings. Doubles by Lilek and Feldner along with 2 errors and a wild pitch capped off the eight run third for Marian.
It was an all West Suburban final in the Illinois High School Association class 4A baseball final as Oak Park River Forest one upped conference rival Lyons Township 4-3 Saturday at Silver Cross Field in Joliet.
With the game tied 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Oak Park's Jack Picchiotti tripled to lead off the inning. Lyons intentionally walked the next to batters to get to Mike Brennan who singled in the winning run. Zachary Weigel got the victory on the mound giving up three runs on seven hits and striking out four.
The final four are set and playing this weekend for classes 3A and 4A for the Illinois State High School Baseball State Championships at Silver Cross Field in Joliet.

It took eight innings but Normal University High School captured it's second Illinois state high school baseball championship defeating Rock Island Alleman 5-4.
With the game tied 1-1 going into the seventh inning Normal put up a two spot with a two rbi double to right center from Solberg for a 2 run lead going into the bottom of the seventh. In the bottom of the seventh Alleman's Sean Wetherell singled to left center with one out. Normal got the second out with a pop up to third and was one out away before the no. 8 hitter Blake Newburg tied the game with a home run to left.
Normal came right back in the top of the eighth with a single from Jacob Hendren and a homer to left center from Jordan Stralow to give Normal a 2 run lead again. Alleman did not quit with a quick run in the bottom of the eighth with a lead off double from Connor Whan and a single from John Tracey. With the 3 and 4 hitters coming up Dylan Farney got Cody Sedlock to hit into a 6-4-3 double play and Ryan O'Keefe to ground out to end the game.
Effingham's St. Anthony High School picked up it's first Illinois state baseball title Saturday defeating Tuscola 6-1 at O'Brien Field in Peoria.
St. Anthony's Reed Willenborg's bases loaded single drove in two followed by a three run homer from Austin Bushur capped off a five run third inning. Willenborg also went all seven innings on the mound giving up one run on six hits.
St. Anthony's also set a school record for wins going 31-8-1 on the season.
