Ryan Theriot will start at shortstop in the Cubs cactus league opener today at 2:05 against the A's. Waiting in the wings at short is 19 year old (he turns 20 on March 24) Starlin Castro who is ahead of the curve according to Alan Trammel. Castro is expected to sub for Theriot at some point in the opener.
