University of Iowa head baseball coach Jack Dahm announced the signing of Zach Burdi to a National Letter of Intent to play baseball with the Hawkeyes in 2014.
Zach is a 6'3" right handed pitcher from Downers Grove South H.S. and went 4-1 with a 2.23 ERA as a junior. "We believe Zach will develop into a top of the rotation type pitcher for us early in his career" according to head coach Dahm.

Listed below are the Illinois players.
Left handed pitcher Ryan Borucki from Mundelein HS. Ryan was 7-1 with a 1.20 ERA. Ryan lives in Mundelein Illinois.
Catcher Blake Hickman from Simeon HS. Blake is a 6'5" catcher is an Illinois High School All-Stater.
Infielder Devin Pickett from Marion Catholic HS. Devin was a third team All-American by Perfect Game. Devin lives in Flossmoor Illinois.
Infielder Nick Roscetti from Williamsville HS. Nick hit .465 with 25 rbi's and 14 stolen bases along with going 6-3 with a 1.81 ERA on the mound as a junior. Nick lives in Sherman Illinois.
Iowa's Trevor Willis earned the Big Ten Player of the Week honors for the Hawkeyes with three multi-hit games over the past week. The senior outfielder hit .647 and a .667 on base percentage, had back-to-back four hit games, scored six runs in four games and stole three bases including a steal of home on Saturday.
Iowa University Baseball announced the signing of right handed pitcher Nick Hibbing to a National Letter of Intent yesterday.
Hibbing, who is from The Lakes Community High School, is ranked as the 16th best player in Illinois by Perfect Game USA.
"Nick is a RHP and very well may be the most projectable pitcher in our recruiting class," said Maliszewski. "He has a power arm with a very good slider. NIck has worked very hard this past summer to put himself in position to have an outstanding career. I expect big things from Nick when he gets on campus. Once Nick gets in our strength program he will make another jump."
Nick is from Lindenhurst, Illinois.
The Patriots sign their second catcher in less than a week when Keith Brand submitted his 2010 contract.
Brand is a freshman at the Univesity of Iowa. He is also a 2009 graduate of Glenbrook North High School in Illinois
