Boomers Stadium Hosts Schaumburg Baseball Sectional
The Schaumburg Boomers and Boomer Stadium are hosting today's Illinois High School Association baseball sectional starting at 5:00 pm.
The Boomers game was moved to 11:00 am today against the London Rippers to make room for the IHSA sectional. The Boomers are an Independent professional baseball team participating in the Frontier League.
Sectional Schedule:
Game 1 Bartlett vs. Willowbrook at 5:00 pm
Game 2 Schaumburg vs. St. Charles East at 7:00 pm

Illinois State High School 2A Baseball Final Four Set
The Illinois State High School 2A Championship round has been set as Walther Lutheran, DuQuoin, Teutopolis and Erie-Prophetstown will battle in Peoria Friday and Saturday.

2011 Illinois High School 1A Baseball Final Four
The final four Illinois class 1A baseball teams will battle at O'Brien Field in Peoria this Friday and Saturday.
At 10:00 am Carrollton will play Tremont and following that game Goreville will play Lanark (Eastland).
The winners will play in the IHSA 1A Championship game on Saturday after the third and fourth place game which starts at 10:00 am.

Naperville Central Wins IHSA Class 4A Baseball State Championship
Naperville Central High School (38-4) defeated Chicago St. Rita (32-10) 10-4 and wins the IHSA Class 4A baseball state championship.
Naperville Central took an early lead in the top of the second with two unearned runs. In the fourth, Central struck again with two in the top of the fourth with two more unearned runs, including an interference call on the St. Rita third baseman, giving Central a 4-0 lead. In the bottom of the fourth St. Rita struck back and tied the game at four with a double from Zach Soria, a two run homer from Mark Payton, a single from Stefano Belmonte, a walk to Joe Filomeno and a double from Anthony Zawaski.
In the top of the fifth Naperville Central put the game away by scoring five runs with six singles, a hit batter and a sac fly. In the sixth Naperville added one more with an rbi double from Bobby Czarnowski.
Shane Colon picked up the win on the mound allowing four runs on five hits while striking out 10.
Naperville Central finished the season 38-4 while St. Rita ended it's season at 32-10.

Chatham Glenwood Wins IHSA Class 3A Baseball State Title
Chatham(Glenwood) captured the class 3A baseball state championship with an 11-1 six inning victory over DeKalb.
The game was scoreless for the first three innings but in the fourth and then with two outs in the top of the fourth and two on, Michael Fiaush singled in the first run of the game followed by a single by Chris Sekardi to put Chatham up 2-0. With runners on first and third, Sekardi stole second and then Jake Fulks doubled in two more to put Chatham up 4-0.

IHSA Class 3A Baseball Semi-Finals Start Friday June 11
The IHSA Class 3A baseball semi-finals start Friday June 11th at 10:00 am with Joliet Catholic (23-14) vs. Chatham (Glenwood) (30-4). Following the 10:00 am game Woodstock (Marian) (27-9) takes on DeKalb (26-10).
The loser of game 1 will face the loser of game 2 in the third place game on Saturday at 9:00 am. Following the third place game the winner of game 1 will take on the winner of game 2 in the 3A Championship game.
